Story, Screenplay, Direction : India-returned Sivaji (Rajinikanth) after earning 250 crores comes to India for helping the poor finds himself bankrupt due to corruption and filthy politicians. How he avenges against Adi Seshayya(Suman) forms the rest of the story

The story of this film is New. But things went wrong in the screenplay part. The same flaw was made which was in Stalin. Both had good openings and both films lost their feel due to the "Hero Image".

Shankar was able to make Sivaji a Rajini-type film but not as Sankar-with-Rajini type film. First half drags itself with stale comedy . The love track in the movie was separately handled which marred the theme of the story.

This is the first movie of Sankar in which the direction was awful. Only the scenes at the titles was noteworthy. There were no Sankar Mark scenes.

Music : Sankar atleast remembered that this is Rajini movie but Rahman seems to have forgotten that also. The western Rap songs were irritable to the audience. They did not go well with Rajini. Vaaji Vaaji, Balleilakka and Adharanee songs were a treat to the eyes. Lavish expenditure was shown in the sets and Background music was great.

Art : Thotta tharani is Andhra's pride. The sets were huge and grand. The movie budget is mostly reflected in songs.

Artists Performance :

Rajni : Rajini styles were intact in this movie. No difference in his acting style. Infact it was Rajini who was a hurdle to this film. If there was another hero than Shankar would have continued his own type.

Shriya : She is the main asset of this film. Both in western and traditional outfits she looks gorgeous. Her role in second half is also good.

Suman : Suman has a performance oriented role. He looks good as a villain. Maybe he should continue the same in Telugu also.

How is the Movie ?

Maybe due to the huge expectations Sankar might have forgotten his own style and done this film. How and What to do he was confused. Converting black money to white money is illogical and earning 22000 crores by just threatening people is beyond reality.

First half is good in parts, Second half is good at the beginning but the graph goes down at the climax. Rajini reappearing as N.T.R and climax fight is untolerable. Only Sankar can tell whether it is message oriented or masala oriented movie.

Final Verdict :

Rajni imitating ANR, NTR, Chiru is the only saving grace of the movie. Like the mega openings, there will be drooping collections for sure. On the whole this movie is a disappointment to the 2 years expectations and hype created.
