It's a big hue and cry in Tamil film industry that Nayantara was banned by Nadigar Sangham, the Tamil film actors' association followed by strife between Lingusamy and Nayanatara. Lingusamy complained that Nayanatara has to return the payment given by him for which Nayantara didn't deliver the services.

And Nayantara refused to pay saying that the producer had wasted her call sheets without taking the work and hence should be compensated.

Nadigar Sangam took it serious and gave judgment standing on the side of Lingusamy stating that a ban is imposed on Nayantara.

But all of a sudden the ban was also lifted away stating that Nayan has paid the amount back. But Nayan didn't pay that amount from her pocket. It was a mysterious man who cleared that to Lingusamy. And guess who is he? He is the producer Udayanidhi Stalin who is making a film with Nayantara now. As he feared that imposed-ban on her would affect his film he paid that amount to Nadigar Sangam.
