An ex Gladrags Manhunt Mr. INDIA 2003 winner and one of the top five finalists of the Super Model contest held in Istanbul (Turkey) in the same year, Ganesh Venkatraman made his first appearance in Tamil with his dazzling performance as Joginder Singh in the super hit Abhiyum Naanum, followed by the role of Arif Khan in the recent Unnaipol Oruvan. Just two films old in Tamil, he is measured one of the foremost upcoming stars in Kollywood today.

We know that the critically-acclaimed Abhiyum Naanum is being remade in Kannada under the direction of actor Prakashraj. According to latest reports, Ganesh will repeat the role of Joginder Singh in the Kannada version also, marking his debut in Sandalwood. The Kannada version (still untitled) has Golden girl Ramya in the role that Trisha act out in the original; Prakashraj repeats the role of her doting father.
